Strelizia reginae after Schoolism

Yesterday i was at a workshop organized by #schoolism http://www.schoolism.com/ and Nemo Academy of Digital Arts in Florence. 
There were Terryl Witlatch ( creature designer ) and Nathan Fowkes ( Ligth and color designer ).

So I liked both, but Nathan I was thunderstruck!
has increased in me my desire to practice on the backgrounds and on the environments, with his notion of design of ligth and color.
For this I start with my favorite flower: Strelizia Reginae 
I tried with watercolors to paint this in 20 mins.
It's not bad like start.

This year in my country ( Italy )  repropose in cinemas many film by studio Ghibli as : Nausicaa, The spirited away, grave of the fireflies and princess Mononoke of which I drew a fan art as if it were a pin-up of the movie. 
I hope like you. Probably I'll draw other similar.

Recently i whatched again Hotel Transylvania by#sonyanimation.
I very like this movie for the story but especially for the design of characters that I admire very much.
