Strelizia reginae after Schoolism

Yesterday i was at a workshop organized by #schoolism http://www.schoolism.com/ and Nemo Academy of Digital Arts in Florence. 
There were Terryl Witlatch ( creature designer ) and Nathan Fowkes ( Ligth and color designer ).

So I liked both, but Nathan I was thunderstruck!
has increased in me my desire to practice on the backgrounds and on the environments, with his notion of design of ligth and color.
For this I start with my favorite flower: Strelizia Reginae 
I tried with watercolors to paint this in 20 mins.
It's not bad like start.
